Defamation to Trump

A judge has denied former ex President Donald Trump's motion to dismiss a defamation lawsuit brought against him by writer E. Jean Carroll, who has accused him of raping her in the 1990s. 

The judge ruled that the case can proceed and that Trump must provide a DNA sample to be tested for a possible match with DNA found on a dress worn by Carroll on the night of the alleged attack. 

The ruling allows the case to move forward, and for discovery and depositions to begin. It does not indicate guilt or innocence on the part of Trump.
